CMARKET LTD. – MANDATORY PRODUCT LABELING GUIDELINES

All Food Vendors operating on the CMarket Platform must comply with these labeling requirements. Failure to comply may result in immediate listing removal, suspension, payout hold, or termination pursuant to the Master Vendor Agreement and Prohibited Items & Services Policy.
CMarket Ltd. does not inspect, verify, approve, or certify vendor labels and assumes no responsibility for labeling accuracy, completeness, or regulatory compliance.
Vendor bears sole and full responsibility for all labeling content and any legal or health consequences arising therefrom.
1. MANDATORY LABEL ELEMENTS
Every individual food package delivered to a Customer must contain a clear, legible, and durable label including:
A. Product Identity
Accurate common name; no misleading descriptions.
B. Vendor Information
• Legal Business Name
• Contact information (phone or email).
C. Production Date & Batch ID
Preparation or packaging date and traceable batch reference.
D. Complete Ingredients List
Descending order by weight including sub-ingredients.
E. Priority Allergen Declaration (CRITICAL)
Separate “CONTAINS:” statement required.
Example:
CONTAINS: Peanuts, Milk, Wheat (Gluten)
Shared kitchen warning if applicable:
MAY CONTAIN: Tree Nuts, Soy, Sesame.
Vendor acknowledges failure to disclose allergens may result in immediate suspension.
2. STORAGE & SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Clear handling instructions required:
• Keep Refrigerated / Keep Frozen
• Reheating instructions where applicable
• Best-before or consumption window.
Vendor remains solely responsible for spoilage, contamination, or food safety outcomes after packaging.
3. HOME-BASED FOOD DISCLOSURE (BC)
Where applicable under BC Low-Risk Home-Based Food guidelines, labels must include:
“NOT FOR RESALE. This food has been prepared in a kitchen that is not routinely inspected by a regulatory authority.”
CMarket Ltd. does not verify or confirm vendor eligibility under home-based food regulations.
4. PACKAGING INTEGRITY
• Securely attached label
• Waterproof / smudge-resistant print
• Tamper-evident packaging required.
Vendor assumes full liability for packaging failures.
5. PROHIBITED CLAIMS
Without verified third-party
certification:
• No “Certified Organic” claims
• No “Gluten-Free” unless dedicated facility
• No medical, therapeutic, or disease-related claims.
Misleading claims constitute material breach.
6. PLATFORM ENFORCEMENT & LIABILITY DISCLAIMER (NEW — VERY IMPORTANT)
CMarket Ltd. may remove listings, suspend vendors, or restrict sales where labeling appears inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or unsafe, based on internal risk assessment.
Vendor acknowledges:
• Platform review does not constitute approval.
• Responsibility for compliance remains solely with Vendor.
• Vendor indemnifies CMarket Ltd. against any claims arising from labeling or food safety disclosures.
